For the past 20 years Strange Music Inc has reigned supreme as the #1 independent record label in the world with the legendary Tech N9ne taking lead as the elite MC and Travis O'guin running the business end. Over that time span they have signed a number of artist to their roster from all around the world including the well respected and multi talented Mayday from Florida, Jay Rock (who is no longer with the label but is still considered family at strange) who was from California and most recently the heavy hitter from Omaha King Iso. But there is one artist from Maryland that was signed not too long ago that has sparked a lot of conversation and has given the Strange Music franchise a fresh new look and will help the brand cross into the newer generation of Hip Hop lovers, his name is Maez301!
Not to put Maez in a box of just "Hip Hop" because he has proven that he can be versatile when it comes to his talents, as he said in his single "Ay" ft. Tech N9ne, "Might go pop, might go soul". I got a chance to listen to a few of his unreleased records while on the tour bus with his manager Mugs earlier this year and was impressed with all four records that played through the speaker, might I add that Mugs knows what he is doing as well so Maez is surrounded by nothing but good people.
