Most would only think that the U.S. would of been a good enough market to takeover and leave it at that, ...But not Jerrick "Tokyo" Dawson. He was recently offered numerous solo deals with some of the best power house labels in the industry after deciding to play the front man of "DaFlip" to kick in the door. So with allot on his back he decided to go overseas and get a phenomenal producer by the name of Steve "Poetry" Poetry and make the amazing record {Inspiration} ft.K_Will.
This Producer was just what the artist needed to reach out to the masses of the Hip Hop crowed. "I knew that i had to do something different and left field to catch the ears of the (Right People) to get the respect that i wanted" Says 21 year old "Tokyo" when asked what were his intentions for this record, He also added "Allot of people don't think outside of the box when making music. They don't want to leave the "Rapper" cliche because i guess they think that they wont be respected by the hood. So that leaves them to go for the Rapper image and Rapper producer then they limit themselves, But not me!
I knew that if i were going to do something different on a record then it would have to be produced by a producer that i probably never met and had the same respect for good, quality music, So we hit up "Poetry"....and the rest was history!
